L'atelier is a word in French that means "workshop".
This firm was born in a real woodworking shop where I rented an office space. The name of the Atelier was self-evident and so was its essence. It is a space where we craft unique solutions in response to the needs of our partners and clients. We bring together experts from different backgrounds to solve challenges in unexpected and inspiring ways.
The firm was literally conceived in front of the Skeena River in British Columbia. It is a link between the Coast Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. It originates in completely untouched and wild territories. It is one of the longest undammed rivers in the world. Inspiring!
The challenge I gave myself when I left my job and my province was to explore a new territory while creating a firm that resembles me: authentic, audacious and creative! Nothing less!
My family and I left Quebec during the pandemic to live a unique experience: living in northern British Columbia. It's a beautiful dream that has lasted for two years and that enriches us all.
I believe in blending ideas, in being inspired by the world and travelling to open up one's horizons.
Going beyond having to be in a fixed physical location for work, the opportunity to align beliefs, work and lifestyle has culminated in the creation of Atelier Skeena. I am able to expand and renew my practices, my perspectives, my inspiration and my skills.
I am able to continue to support organization in both Quebec and Western Canada and live my dream.
